I lived in Wickliffe. If we ever needed anything a ride to Cairo was no problem. My mom worked at Snowers. During the riots, my dad would put the shotgun in his lap and take her to work. Never had any trouble. We only went to Paducah if someone we knew was in the hospital or Christmas. So sad to think have this town has died. I have so many wonderful memories. Especially when I got older and was able to go to Club 18 or the Turf. Ky bar had great T- bones on Saturday night's. Remember the old phone booth?
