Documentary, Music documentary
The Beatles' story has been told hundreds of times already, but guitarist George Harrison was so massively unimpressed by the whole experience that revisiting the saga solely from his perspective may have been one of the last viable options for rolling it out yet again. I was disappointed that director Martin Scorsese spent so much of this mega-documentary on the Fab Four era and so little on Harrison's solo career (aside from his canonical All Things Must Pass album). But there's some pretty moving stuff from Harrison's wife, son, and musical colleagues when Scorsese arrives at the horrifying attempt on Harrison's life in 1999 and his death from cancer two years later.
