From Kremlin Gold to the Russian Silver Screen

A daylong program held in concert with “Kremlin Gold,” the Field Museum's exhibit of gems from the Moscow-Kremlin State Armory Museum. Yuri Tsivian, a specialist in Soviet cinema from the University of Chicago, will screen and discuss lengthy clips from Sergey Eisenstein's October (Ten Days That Shook the World) (1928) and Ivan the Terrible parts one (1943) and two (1946).
