A vote of confidence. I enjoy reading Tom Frank's Capital Lies. I like the methodical way he takes apart one institution or another and the facades they put up in an attempt to mislead people. I also like, almost as much, the vituperative letters his writings inevitably provoke in the weeks following their publication. Now that some of these responses are stretching out to article length themselves it seems important to distill them to their essence, so herein is a summary of what most of them have amounted to:

"Shut up Tom! I know the emperor isn't wearing any clothes. Now leave me alone and let me keep pretending he is."

"You idiot Tom! The emperor isn't supposed to wear clothes."

"Stop nitpicking Tom! Most people like it that the emperor isn't wearing clothes."

Please keep publishing Tom Frank.
