Documentary
There isn't much nuance to be found in this documentary about Yonathan Netanyahu, the only Israeli commando to die during the famed 1976 hostage-rescue mission against German and Palestinian hijackers at Entebbe Airport in Uganda. The requisite talking heads (among them Shimon Peres and Netanyahu's brother Benjamin) focus on his military achievements and pronounce him a patriot, a fine student, and a nice Jewish boy. Directors Jonathan Gruber and Ari Daniel Pinchot present their subject in such glowing terms that he never registers as a real person, and their take on Israeli political history is comparably simplistic.
