Floyd's Pub | Wicker Park/Bucktown | Burgers, Bar/Lounge, Dive Bar, Corner Tap | Restaurant
Cross between an Irish pub and a dive bar, with a jukebox trapped back in the 90s.

Our Review

Floyd's is somewhere between an Irish pub and a dive bar, its interior all dark walls and cherrywood. The food straddles that same line: there's a long list of sandwiches, plus fish-and-chips and meat loaf. The burgers are thick, about three-quarters of an inch, with red onions instead of white. I had a monster with Swiss and mushrooms marinated in a balsamic vinaigrette that gave it a distinguishing tangy kick. Walking into Floyd's I was reminded of an old haunt in my South Carolina hometown where the jukebox is stuck in the year 1994. I'm all for nostalgia, but if I never hear Pearl Jam's "Release Me" or Jane's Addiction's "Jane Says" again it'll be too soon.
