I read the Steinberg column [Hot Type, March 24]. If he'd left out the surprise, surprise part about Stroger being ill, I wonder if there would have been as many complaints. After all, it was just a couple of sentences. If he had said the same thing about Claypool would there be the same uproar? His comment was certainly flip, but I didn't think it was so out of place.
