Charles L. Mee's exuberant revue mixes the high-, the low-, and the middlebrow to celebrate Paris, and, by extension, amour--romantic, erotic, tragic. As in his other work, Mee creates some unexpected and often illuminating juxtapositions: in one scene, an actor recites Derrida's remarks on the structurality of structure as a bizarre fashion show unfolds and Charles Trenet sings. The script calls for a staging that complements Mee's imaginative elan and wide-ranging intelligence, but Liz Cody's production for Orion's Left Foot is too clumsy to meet the challenge. Though she handles the most straightforward sketches reasonably well, anything requiring precise orchestration lacks cohesion and falls flat. Through 7/2: Thu-Sun 8 PM, Oracle Productions, 3809 N. Broadway, 224-612-1501, $15.
