"Fear into Fire" is an investigation into the politics of the body and the narratives behind tattoos. Focusing on issues of representation, identity formation and personal narrative, the work in this exhibition centers on the body as a medium for producing culture. In this context, tattoos can directly translate the complicated stories and identities of individual Black men's lives to others. Come view the art and photography and meet the curator, photographer, and the men with the tattoos selected to tell their poignant stories.
