Avant-Garde, Experimental
Lipton is best known for having penned the lyrics to Peter, Paul and Mary's "Puff the Magic Dragon," but he also made more than a dozen films from the mid-60s to the mid-70s. This 1971 effort, shot on 16-millimeter, was described by filmmaker Jonas Mekas as a "very personal anthropological/ethnographic notebook that will remain a valuable document."
