Thanks for this you know Chicago! I worked with Michael Milkie when he was a classroom Math teacher at Wells High School. Like the charters he "oversees" he always asked the principal for "the best kids" for his programs. While leaving ordinary students to the rest of the teaching staff. Nothing has changed he's only managed to convince others that it's a good idea citywide. Noteworthy also is that Noble Street also perpetuates the Hispanic and Black divide that already exists on Chicago's westside. Putting more Hispanics in charters and Blacks in local public schools. A new form of segregation that should also be examined.
