According to a Vanity Fair article published last year, during the emergency flight cancellations that followed the September 11 terrorist attacks, Michael Jackson, Marlon Brando, and Elizabeth Taylor found themselves stranded in New York. Unable to fly out of the city, the celebrity behemoths carpooled. The actual details of the event are spotty, strange, and at least based on Annoyance Theatre's preposterous depiction, hilarious. Director Tim Paul's deadpan, lowbrow, and I suspect secretly brilliant ensemble (especially Steve Hnilicka, here as a five-o'clock-shadowed Taylor) could tighten up the material a bit and fall back fewer times on their own recycled jokes, but as a short romp, there are some dark and unexpected laughs. —Dan Jakes
