If you're not up on your H.P. Lovecraft, it may take a while to figure out what the heck is going on in this loose new adaptation of his 1936 sci-fi novella At the Mountains of Madness. But comprehension may be overrated when the topic is cosmic forces. Miskatonic University professor William Dyer has uncovered a vast, ancient civilization in the Antarctic, but the only people who can verify his story are either dead or insane. DreamLogic Theatreworks's signature promenade style has evolved: where previous shows followed a more or less straight narrative line, this one unfolds simultaneously in different parts of the odd commercial space in which it's staged. Scott McKinsey's cast is mostly exceptional. Standouts include Patricia Lomden as a delicate, unnamed nurse and David Sweeney as peevish, orotund Professor Moore. —Keith Griffith
