German supermodel Uschi Obermaier slept with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, and all we get is this lousy biopic. Directed by first-timer Achim Bornhak, it opens in 1968 as Uschi (Natalia Avelon) and her sister, giddy with rock records, decide to ditch their provincial middle-class parents and hitchhike to West Berlin; they're instantly picked up by a psychedelic VW bus full of hairy revolutionaries from the free-loving Kommune 1. The first hour makes for an enjoyable 60s cartoon, as Uschi rejects the commune's dour sexual dogma for the headier pleasures of servicing Mick and Keith (Victor Noren and Alexander Scheer, both ringers). But once the decade has turned and Uschi has moved on to Hamburg club owner Dieter Bockhorn, this 2007 feature grows as dull as its heroine, struggling toward a theme with some halfhearted rhetoric about the price of freedom. In English and subtitled German and Italian. 114 min.
