Dear editor:

The article "Anatomy of an Art Stunt" [Our Town, April 3] was such a pathetic testimony to the hostage mentality that perpetuates the last vestiges of the city's gallery-driven art scene that it made me want to slit my wrists open on the steps of the Art Institute and bleed to death, only to be brought back to life three days later as a visiting artist with a generous stipend, as a sort of conceptual nod to Easter.
