Sean Benjamin and Steve Mosqueda of the Neo-Futurists bring back the third installment in their long-running series of occasional performance-lectures about the bibulous lives of writers. (Though the series premiered in 2002, this volume--focused on the morning after the night before--debuted last summer.) Usually the two perform in bars, not theaters, but they've scored the best of both worlds with this one-night gig in the swank lobby bar of the Victory Gardens Biograph. Hangover cures of dubious value (cabbage, Pedialyte) and self-loathing prose from legendary literary imbibers (Charles Bukowski, John Cheever) combine in this cheery but sometimes subversive piece, which neither glorifies nor reviles life under the influence. a Thu 8/23, 8 PM, Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, lobby bar, 2433 N. Lincoln, 773-871-3000, $15. --Kerry Reid
