To the editors:

In response to the Hot Type article by Michael Miner [November 27], let me say that I couldn't be happier that the Kelsons are under the hot lights. I promote a Chicago restaurant so I cannot attach my name to this letter. But of all the Chicago restaurant media I work with, Carla Kelson is the only one to continuously remind me, in so many words, of how very important she is and how she can make or break a restaurant. And restaurateurs who rush to her defense do so wisely. Crossing Ms. Kelson spells the end of any favorable publicity for the unlucky restaurateur who does not treat her like royalty.
