Lorena Diaz and Wendy Mateo bring to life a variety of fresh, believable Chicago characters in this robustly entertaining sketch revue directed by Charna Halpern. In scenes sweet, tragic, and astutely observant, the duo play pugnacious adolescent brothers, politically incorrect old ladies, catcalling old men, a street-corner tranny and the drunk white girl she begrudgingly helps, a couple comfy with one another until she suggests moving in. But they're especially vivacious and convincing when they send up their Latin-American backgrounds--dancing, celebrating the Spanish language, and eschewing easy brown and white stereotypes. --Ryan Hubbard
