Re: “Chicago guitar genius Pete Cosey dead at 68

As another family member who loved Pete dearly, I have to share my positive memories. I'll never forget when my mom took me to his apartment in downtown Chicago and I saw all his gold records. I asked Mom "Mommy, can we play those records? Why are they all gold?" Never did I know I was in the presence of such a musical talent. I just knew him as cousin Pete. He had an incredible influence on music, and more specifically me. This week was the week that I was called to do a collaboration in the studio myself. Yes, we are all talented in the Clark family, and now, I know I got Pete watching over me, guiding me, and helping me to carry on our family legacy. Maybe one day, I'll have some gold records for one of my little cousins to fawn over. RIP Cousin Pete. Say hi to Gramma, Auntie Col, and the rest of the family. I'll miss you dude.
