When: Tuesdays-Sundays. Continues through June 12 2011
Price: $44-$49
Lest there be any doubt that this is an authentic opportunity to shop the plastic kitchenware line pioneered by Earl Tupper in 1946, Tupperware catalogs and pens have been placed on seats throughout the theater. Created and played by Kris Andersson, party hostess Dixie Longate of Mobile, Alabama, hawks her toucan teal pitchers (item #477) and Squeeze-It cake decorators (#828) with brass, fervor, cunning, lots of blue jokes, and no sense of boundaries at all. She's hilarious for a solid hour as she alternately insults, seduces, and weirds out her audience. Trouble is, the show lasts about two hours. The punch lines lose their punch, the endearing quirks wear thin, and when Dixie goes for a moment of Deep Sincerity all is lost. --Tony Adler
