To the editors:

Although I don't subscribe to the Reader, nor am I a regular reader of the Reader, I could not help but take an interest to your depiction of the alderman Dorothy Tillman [December 20]. Yes, Mr. Nelson it is true that she and many other public figures are likely to be constantly under the scrutiny of the media and the general public as well; however, is this necessary?

Perhaps you are deriving some type of personal satisfaction from these distasteful illustrations of inhumanity?

Assuming you are an intelligent man, don't you think it wise to concern yourself with the issues rather than the apparel of Dorothy Tillman and others?
