Re: “The Church of Scientology Didn't Like Our Story

Is this the same Dave Higgins that I knew in Buffalo, NY? If so, Dave is a good guy (in spite of the bad spelling). If I understand him correctly, I basically agree with what he is saying. To answer Shane, Scientology is more of a self-help philosophy than a typical religion. You can pretty much believe whatever you want. This may be somewhat difficult to understand for Christians who are used to being told what to believe. Think for yourself!

Re: “The Church of Scientology Didn't Like Our Story

I am a former staff member of the Church of Scientology in Chicago. I am also an ordained Presbyterian minister. I can tell your readers that the technology really works. While on staff, my I.Q. went up 20 points, from 128 to 148. My personality score went from very depressed to very positive. Chronic psychosomatic illnesses vanished. In addition, I was compensated in courses, books, compact discs, and cash. Plus I had the opportunity of being part of an extended family of highly trained professionals. And I gained greater self-respect and confidence. Unfortunately, because of a promise made to care for a deeply troubled person, I was unable to continue in my work for the Church. But it was a great experience!
