Re: “New Tokyo

This is a good neighborhood place, requiring no thought or effort: I've never had a wait, the food comes out quickly, and the bill isn't too pricey. The food is fine, although not outstanding. The staff is very friendly, and a small selection of up-to-date magazines is available for your perusal while you wait for your food.

Re: “Sinibar

We were there kind of early (8 PM) on a Saturday night, and the place was only about half full (I presume that it gets more crowded later, especially since Sinibar has a lounge downstairs.). I was a little surprised that the diners weren't a little more dressed up. The decor is African and very cool, but the food is French bistro. Kind of an odd combination. The food is not cutting-edge, but the dishes are very well-prepared. It may be a bit overpriced, considering the lack of innovation. For steak frites, I actually prefer Mon Ami Gabi.
