The former ACLU executive reads from Winter in Chicago, a novel about a radio news reporter who discovers that an apparent suicide is a friend of hers from high school and starts investigating, which leads her into a world of drugs, corruption, and scandal. Hamlin’s previous work includes The Nazi/Skokie Conflict, a firsthand account of the monumental free speech case in the 1970s.
