Re: “Clean your plate before heading to the Logan Theatre

Speaking as someone who used to work at the Logan, you're exhortation on the flaws in their policy reads substantially more ridiculous than the policy itself. You yourself mention how there are signs on the doors explicitly stating the policy. It is not the theatre's fault you haughtily disregarded such blatant warnings, but then to complain about their attitude towards you gets me even more. Based on the tone and ignorance of your article I can only imagine the snark you threw at the management and staff. The policy has not been devised by anyone other than the owner and all other enforcement of said policy comes in the form of doing a job correctly. Your entitled attitude marks the tidal wave of yuppies moving up from wicker park and over from lakeview and lincoln park. The theatre spent years in decay, and part of what is going to keep the Logan looking shiny as a new coin will be their strict enforcement of their own policies that will keep riff-raff and the arrogant bourgeoise (like yourself) out. It's a shame your career in hiding behind a desk and writing shameless critiques of small businesses has pushed you out of touch with the actual employees of the service industry, but then again this kind of article might be the only way you get anyone to read your work. Next time take it to yelp with the other illiterati and keep the Reader clear of brash judgments.
