Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles

Crocodile hunter Mick leaves the Australian outback to follow his girlfriend to LA, where she's filling in for the late bureau chief of her father's newspaper. With nothing better to do than protect other tourists from ersatz wildlife at a thrill park, Mick ends up bringing some crafty smugglers to justice, and his naivete about U.S. and specifically southern California culture makes for gentle if predictable satire. The running joke about coffee enemas will date this innocuous, crowd-pleasing adventure-comedy, the third in a series featuring Paul Hogan and Linda Kozlowski. Written by Matthew Berry and Eric Abrams, and directed by Simon Wincer. 95 min.
