Cozy Corner Diner & Pancake House | Logan Square | American, Breakfast, Coffee Shop | Restaurant
Old-fashioned greasy spoon that does the basics right.

Our Review

When you walk into this busy diner, you’ll hear reassuring kitchen-clanking noises and see servers hustling around. The manager will greet you with a "Hey, guys!" But don’t get distracted. Walk up to the lady with the pretty nails standing behind the counter in front of the line cooks. She’ll take your name and say, "OK, baby. Ten minutes—unless you want to sit at the counter." But you probably won’t even have to wait that long: these folks run the Cozy Corner like a well-oiled machine. I’ve never gotten there in time for the Early Bird Special (from 5 to 9 AM), but the Big Man Special (two eggs, two pancakes, and sausage, bacon, or boned ham) and the Hungry Man Special (three eggs, three pancakes, and meat) are served all day. I always get my eggs over easy, but my friends say that the scrambled ones are buttery and delicious. The food’s just what you’d expect from your corner diner, only better.
