I wanted to get in touch in response to an item written by Deanna Isaacs about Around the Coyote [The Business, August 4]. As a representative for the Oak Park Arts District and their annual fall event Art on Harrison, our event committee has decided to expand the scope of our show and offer ten spots to artists who were not able to show at Coyote. Our festival is outdoors, rain or shine, and held September 8, 9, and 10, with artists exhibiting 12 to 8 on the 9th and 12 to 5 on the 10th. We are an established arts district with a number of fine art galleries and boutiques and are in our 11th year of conducting this event.

This is a juried show. Artists who are not able to participate in Coyote may submit their work for consideration and upon being selected to participate would be given a free slot (approximate size accommodates a six-foot table). Selected artists would need to provide proof of their $100 application payment to receive this offer, and it's limited to ten spaces, to be released via jury and at the full discretion of the event committee chair, Liz Gaylord.

Artists should send three or four photos of their work via e-mail to Admission to the show is contingent upon proof of paid application to Around the Coyote. We would waive the standard fee of $75 for these artists.
