Cows on Parade Auction

When: Mondays, Sundays. Continues through Sept. 8 2008
Phone: 312-280-1212
Two of the painted fiberglass cows that dotted the city in 1999 as part of Cows on Parade make their way to the auction block. The cows were painted by staff members at the Terra Museum of American Art and are offered on consignment by the museum; they're expected to fetch between $5,000-$7,000. They join work by other local artists--Ed Paschke, Karl Wirsum, Barbara Crane--for "Made in Chicago," the first day of this two day auction of postwar and contemporary art.
