Re: “Foxy Shazam and the Accidentally Racist Single

As a Black guy, I was feelin' the riffs and the energy, but that all came to an abrupt stop with the song's reference to"my gangsta girl" who uses "sexy, street-talkin' slang". Instead of a homage to the generic, and awesome, power that is the big, beautiful posterior, akin to Queen's Fat-Bottomed Girls" or a humourous, self-deprecating take on the subject, like Spinal Taps"Big Bottoms", it just fethishizes (is that a word?) Black women. If buddy was singing about how he loved Black women, I'd be cool with that. Hell, I love 'em too...but he's not. He's just saying he loves their asses, reducing them to a stereotype.
