Re: “Kamehachi

Even though it was a Friday night, we sat down right away without a problem. It was crowded, but not mobbed, which made for a nice scene. We wern't especially hungry, and so just ordered three maki rolls and an appetizer to share between the two of us. The Summer Roll was absolutely amazing. The distinct flavors of cilantro, then the spicy mayonnaise, lingered and left a tingling feeling in the back of your mouth that made you all warm and happy. (Compare to doing a shot of whiskey.)Well Done!

Re: “The Smoke Daddy

food is always good, and there is lots of it. but don't go if you don't like BBQ. there are few other options, and those look pretty unappealing. the small, neighborhhod feel of the place is comfortable. many nights there is loud blues, county music. in theory, i really like this. however, i have often been here when the music is just way too loud to have a conversation with the person sitting next to you. i go there to eat, not loose my hearing at a concert. on this occation, the service was acceptable. i think mostly because we were sitting at the bar and the bartender was in direct view of us. on other occasions, however, the service has been less than desirable. not overly friendly or fast. but i go for the BBQ, and when you are in the mood, you can't beat it!
