Uncharacteristically flat and stodgy Cecil B. De Mille film (1934), with a gang of ossified actors (Warren William, Henry Wilcoxon, C. Aubrey Smith) stumbling through overdressed sets and spouting lofty sentiments in phony British accents. Camp interest, I'm afraid, is about all it has to offer (as when Claudette Colbert's Cleopatra steps into the archetypal milk bath). De Mille often did better with much less promising material. 100 min.
