Clarence Darrow

When: Sun., March 13, 10 a.m. 2011
Civil rights lawyers Edward and Joey Mogul speak at an annual celebration of the life of defense attorney Clarence Darrow, who died on this day in 1938; this gathering, which begins at Jackson Park's Darrow Bridge, has occurred for each of more than 50 years. After a wreath-tossing ceremony, the event moves inside to the Museum of Science and Industry's New Columbia Room, where the Moguls speak and where special tribute will be paid to Lila Weinberg, one of the founders of the original ceremony.
