Re: “It Was Only a Matter of Time

talking to the people at west lake view, they got 300 bottles on wednesday and by sunday afternoon when i got there there were 5 bottles left. she said its probably going to be another 4-6 months before they get their next shipment of beer from jester king. she was quite happy that it moved so fast.

Re: “Pipeworks Brewing Needs You!

"Imagine a more accessible Bell's Batch 9,000 " ..i am intrigued as i think batch 9000 is a crazy beer i dont ever want to drink again.

i can only comment on the same beer you had at the Goose Island Stout fest and agree that it was perfect and one of my favorites of that day. the only other pipework i have had is their pipedream which was a collaboration w/ De Struise, and Alvinne that I had to order from Stuise directly this summer. it was also amazing, belgian style strong ale (even if the bottle said american style IPA).

i hope they get their funding as i think they would be a great addition to the chicago beer scene.

Re: “City to Add Cruft to Twitter Feeds Using Social Marketing Fadware

I will say that I take the opinion that one shouldn't have all there 4sq checkins posted to twitter. I don't need to know when you are running erands..but if you are at a general meeting place (bar, gallery, show, etc) that you would tweet about anyway then I let it pass (and is usually what I try to do).

But yeah..we are volunteerily giving up a lot of market research data for free...in the guise of having a fun competition with our friends.

Re: “Decent Headphones For the Holidays

if you decided to go with the grado's may i suggest getting them at saturday audio exchange. they are really nice there, have good prices and let you try them out. they used to also carry a headphone from ministry of sound that while heavy are really good sounding closed cans.

and along the same line of the shures SE110 that you list i would have recommend the http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/er6i.aspx , even though they are bit more expensive i found them more comfortable.

that said i currently use the shure SE530 and they are amazing
