Rachmaninov's Second Symphony will kick off the Chicago Philharmonic's 21st season. The CPO's opening concert shines a spotlight on some exciting young talent. New conducting sensation Robert Trevino leads the CPO in Rachmaninov's Second Symphony. Trevino, a rising star in the conducting arena, recently was a prize winner in the Sir Georg Solti Emerging Conductor Award for 2010. The award, presented by the Solti Foundation, was introduced in 2010 to give American conductors major recognition in the formative years of their career. Award-winning pianist, Julia Siciliano is featured in Rachmaninov's Second Piano Concerto. A sonic Russian feast!
