Chicago House Music Festival 

Two solid days of beats and bass on the south side



This all-you-can-dance festival brings hits the Cicero Community Park (3400 S. Laramie) on Saturday and Sunday, bringing more than 50 DJs and live acts to perform on three stages from noon till 10 PM each day. Saturday's headliners on the main stage, called the House Nation Arena, are Roy Davis Jr., DJ Pierre, and Paul Johnson; on Sunday top billing goes to Hyperactive, Ron Carrol, and CZR. Other performers at the Chicago House Music Festival include Gene Hunt, K-Alexi, Monologic, Diz, Traxx, Pink Machine, Gant-Man, and Alex Zelenka, to name just a few. The fest will also feature carnival rides and games in addition to the usual food vendors, arts and crafts, and music booths. An added highlight on Sunday is a mole cook-off, which begins around 11 AM and wraps up with a tasting at 1 PM.
