Re: “Hall of 1,000 Bargains

Nice writeup. Brings me back to the 60's when Willow Springs was still reminiscent of the 40's. I worked at a gas station near there, went into the service, got out, and enjoyed many a cold beer in that town after work and into the late evenings. I always enjoyed sitting there talking to Bruno - nice fellow. It was fun to check out the goods for sale in "The Hall" every once in a while during the day, but I liked it best when the lights were low, the beer would flow, and the talk was slow. I miss times and places like that.
Thanks for the memories.
