Cat and Mouse

One of Claude Lelouch's more tolerable efforts, which is to say there is some clever character work to compensate for his complete inability to handle a camera or cut film. Serge Regianni happily mugs his way through the part of a Paris police inspector on the trail of a murderer. His name is Lechat, and naturally, he has a dog. Too slight to be offensive, this is nevertheless a classic ineptitude, rivaled only by Lelouch's own Another Man, Another Chance.
