Fred Astaire is a psychiatrist treating radio singing star Ginger Rogers in this 1938 effort that verges more toward screwball than musical comedy. It's the shortest of the Astaire-Rogers vehicles and features only four numbers (but one is the sensational “Since They Turned 'Loch Lomond' Into Swing,” in which Astaire plays the harmonica while dancing, tees off half a dozen golf balls in perfect rhythm, and does a Highland fling over two crossed golf clubs). It's also more Ginger Rogers's film than Astaire's. With Ralph Bellamy—which proves it's a screwball comedy. 83 min.
