The scale of Gabriel Pascal's 1946 production (one of the most expensive British films ever made) tends to intimidate George Bernard Shaw's domestic comedy. Still, the Shavian dialogue is intact, and read nicely by Vivien Leigh, Claude Rains, and Flora Robson. 134 min.
