A queasy Broadway farce about a spinsterish dental nurse (Ingrid Bergman) who blossoms forth when she comes to believe that her boss (Walter Matthau) has a crush on her—but Matthau's really interested in teenybopper Goldie Hawn. It's all meant to be very life-affirming, but somehow it's anything but. Gene Saks directed, if you want to call it that; the supporting players include Jack Weston, Rick Lenz, and Vito Scotti (1969).
