To the editors:

I often thought about being cremated, but the guilt of cremation was placed upon me after a vacation visit to El Paso. One hot summer night, sitting on a milk crate reminiscing with my dad, I shared this thought.

To my surprise he was totally against it, stating, "It's against the Catholic religion to be cremated." Being the good Catholic daughter that I am, I began to have my doubts, but after reading "Ashes to Ashes" [August 28], I know now cremation is a better way to go. I'll always love you, dad.
