March 13 – “Bundenbach’s Golden Fossils” In the 1800’s pyritized Devonian age marine fossils (400 million years old) were being collected from slate quarries in Bundenbach, Germany. The beautifully preserved crinoids, starfish and trilobites remain rare. Museum geologist, Sara Johnson, presents the history, unique geologic formation of the Bundenbach fossils and the new technology used in analyzing them. Lecture – Youth to Adult 60 minutes – 2:00 pm – Regular Museum Admission
