Centre East presents Bruce Hornsby in a solo performance as the final event in its Singer/Songwriter Series, sponsored by WXRT at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts, 9501 Skokie Blvd. A 13-time Grammy-nominee and three-time Grammy Award-winner, Hornsby is a master of musical styles. His 13 albums have sold over 11 million copies worldwide. The title cut from "The Way It Is" was the most played song on American radio in 1987, winning the ASCAP “Song of the Year” award. Known around the music industry as a collaborator, he has played on more than 100 records including albums by Bob Dylan, Don Henley, the Grateful Dead, Bob Seger, Crosby Stills and Nash, Liquid Jesus, Shawn Colvin, and end-title songs for two Spike Lee movies.
