Borderline | Chicago Reader

A policeman stumbles across a reference to his long-lost brother and begins to investigate, growing increasingly obsessed against the backdrop of an unyielding and vaguely totalitarian society. Episodic flashbacks provide some sparks of interest, hinting that the brother was a gunrunner, but they don't fully explain what happened to him; this 1993 Greek film mostly meanders, its long silences and periods of inaction supplying little psychological insight. Panos Karkanevatos directed.
