You'd think that nine-foot-tall puppets would move with the sluggishness of dinosaurs. But the crescent-faced biblical characters in this 30-minute pageant are astonishingly light and graceful as they wordlessly reenact the mystical story of Christ's birth. Narration is provided by soprano Claire Feeney, guitarist Josh Hoover, and the Quest Theatre Ensemble, performing Allison Kane's score of original and traditional carols, which even gives a touch of barbershop harmony to the three kings. Through 1/1: see for complete schedule. Fri 12/9, 7:30 PM, Fourth Presbyterian Church, 126 E. Chestnut. Then Sat 12/10, 10 AM, Saint Teresa of Avila, 1037 W. Armitage. Then Sun 12/11, 3 PM, Saint Barnabas Church, 10134 S. Longwood. Then Tue 12/13, 7:30 PM, Mather Place at the Georgian, 422 Davis, Evanston, Free.
