David Mamet meets Quentin Tarantino. This exercise in derivativeness—a talky, tongue-in-cheek thriller—features writer-director Joe Carnahan and Dan Leis as used-car dealers who get in over their heads when they?re offered big money to let a classic car sit on their lot. The relentlessly energetic performances, the trendy mixture of photographic techniques, and the mock-shocking plot twists would get a good grade if this were a film-school assignment.
