Let’s be generous and assume writer-performers Amy Haeussler and Kristen Tallon intend their program copy—which calls this clumsy hour-long muddle an “ethereal, visually stunning show”—as satire of the blinkered self-aggrandizement favored by a certain subset of performance artists. Indeed, Haeussler and Tallon seem at times intent on lampooning eastern European image-based theater, with its angsty clowning and narrative incoherence—except they also make fun of dimwitted Canadian fisherman who blather on while stuffing their mouths with grapes, and aging southern belles befuddled by a contemporary gay pride parade. In all, it’s difficult to deduce if the awkward duo identified any meaningful target for their satire, or why they felt entitled to ridicule others when their own work is so slipshod. —Justin Hayford
