To the editors:

Just a couple of quick clarifications regarding my March 15 "Buzz and His Birds" story. Buzz Alpert did not, in fact, "steal" Riverside Rosie and her brood as the article stated. He had permission from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to move them. Also, Riverside Rosie and company were released at the Little Red Schoolhouse in Willow Springs, not at the Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe. My apologies for any confusion this may have caused.
