@ J.R. Jones comment: "Unfeeling professionalism." No one really has time to be "feeling" onstage. I understand, but there are moments when Watts, Richards & Jagger have reflected and showed surprising feelings. At core they are tough business.

I loved The Last Waltz -- but too much baroque talk from Robertson and Marty. Shine a Light shows the performance and the setting (unlike the mystery murk of Ladies and Gentlement, TRS). Scorsese created an attractive documentary of old rock musicians, performance and small talk -- a kind of "day in the life" with wrinkles not insights, so in the end, both disappointing and interesting.
